LLS Signs Contracts

The Lakeshores Library System Board has voted to admit KCLS libraries into the SHARE catalog group and they have signed contracts for training and for SHARE membership. The next step is for the KCLS board to sign the two contracts on October 6th.

SHARE catalog project approved

Tonight the KCLS board signed a letter of intent to move forward with contract negotiations for KCLS to merge catalogs with the Lakeshores SHARE catalog. We hope to reach an agreement by the end of October. Our target date for launching the new circulation system and web catalog is late spring, early summer 2016. Lakeshores staff will demonstrate the features if the SHARE catalog for all interested staff this Thursday morning at 8am at Northside. Please come if you can. If you can't we will repeat the presentation again soon. Exciting times!
